Privacy Policy — CardTracker (7 Wonders Duel Companion for BGA)

CardTracker is a browser extension that augments the 7 Wonders Duel table on BoardGameArena (BGA). This policy explains exactly what data the extension handles.

Short version

CardTracker does not collect, track, profile, sell or share your personal data. There are no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. All of your settings stay on your own device. The extension never contacts any server other than BoardGameArena itself — the site you are already playing on.

What the extension stores locally

• Your settings (feature toggles) — stored in chrome.storage.local on your device.
• Game-tracking memory for the table you are playing (which cards have been seen face up, and which cards were used to build wonders) — stored in chrome.storage.local on your device. This is board-game state, not personal information.

This information never leaves your browser and is not accessible to us.

Data read from the page

On BoardGameArena game pages, the extension reads the visible game state (the card structure, player cities, the discard, progress tokens, wonders, and player names) in order to show which cards are still in play. This data is processed locally in your browser only. It is not sent anywhere.

Network requests — BoardGameArena only

The extension makes no requests to any third party and has no servers of its own. Two kinds of requests go to BoardGameArena itself, using your existing BGA session, exactly like the game page does:

1. Card artwork shown in the popup is loaded from BGA's own image servers.
2. Once per table load, the extension requests the game's move history from BGA (the same data BGA uses for its own "Replay last moves" feature) so that cards consumed by wonders can be identified even if the tab was closed when the move happened. The response is processed locally and is not stored or forwarded.

What we do not do

• No analytics or telemetry.
• No advertising.
• No collection of personally identifiable information.
• No selling or sharing of any data with third parties.
• No remote code — all logic ships inside the extension package.

Permissions

• activeTab / storage — to read the current BGA tab for the popup and to save your settings and per-table tracking memory locally.
• Access to boardgamearena.com pages — the content script runs only there, to read the visible game state of your 7 Wonders Duel table.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated text will be published at the same URL with a new "Last updated" date.
