Privacy Policy — TileTracker (Carcassonne Companion for BGA)

TileTracker is a browser extension that augments the Carcassonne table on BoardGameArena (BGA). This policy explains exactly what data the extension handles.

Short version

TileTracker does not collect, track, profile, sell or share your personal data. There are no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. All of your settings stay on your own device. The only time the extension contacts a server is to verify a Premium license key you enter yourself.

What the extension stores locally

• Your settings (chosen skin, feature toggles) — stored in chrome.storage.local on your device.
• Premium licensing state (whether Premium is unlocked, and the license key you entered) — stored in chrome.storage.local on your device.

This information never leaves your browser except as described below, and is not accessible to us.

Data read from the page

On BoardGameArena game pages, the extension reads the visible game state (the board, the game log, and player names/colours) in order to display tile counts, a live score and the remaining-tiles panel. This data is processed locally in your browser only, in real time. It is not stored, transmitted or sent anywhere.

The one network request: license verification (Premium only)

When you activate TileTracker Premium, the license key you type is sent to Gumroad's License API (https://api.gumroad.com) solely to confirm that the key is valid. Only the license key is sent. No other data is included. The response is used only to unlock premium features on your device. Gumroad's handling of that request is governed by Gumroad's own privacy policy (gumroad.com/privacy).

The free version of TileTracker makes no network requests at all.

What we do NOT do

• No analytics or telemetry.
• No advertising.
• No collection of personally identifiable information.
• No selling or sharing of any data with third parties.
• No remote code — all logic ships inside the extension package.

Permissions

• activeTab / storage — to read the current BGA tab for the popup and to save your settings locally.
• Host access to boardgamearena.com — to read and augment the Carcassonne game page.
• Host access to api.gumroad.com (Premium only) — to verify your license key, as described above.
